More than just a rapper, Chiffaye L.A. represents the modern woman who refuses to be limited by labels. A proud mother of four, U.S. Navy veteran, cosmetologist, fashion designer, bespoke tailor, cordwainer, entrepreneur, Ayurveda scholar, and business administration student, she brings a unique perspective to music that is rooted in discipline, creativity, and purpose.
Born and raised throughout both the Eastside and Westside communities of South Los Angeles, Chiffaye’s connection to hip-hop began long before stepping into a recording studio. Influenced by legendary artists including LL Cool J, DJ Quik, Eazy-E, AMG, E-40, Mary J. Blige, Tupac Shakur, Jeezy, and Plies, music became part of her everyday life from an early age.
“My great aunt Amy always had me singing in the choir,” says Chiffaye. “One of the first songs I learned word for word was LL Cool J’s ‘I Need Love,’ and I’ve been memorizing songs ever since.”
Growing up under the guidance of her father, who raised her as a single parent from the age of three months old, Chiffaye learned resilience, independence, and self-respect early in life values that continue to shape her music today.
With ‘L.A. Chick,’ Chiffaye continues her mission of creating relatable, relevant music that resonates with audiences while building a positive legacy beyond entertainment.
