Friday Dance Music Guide: Fresh Releases From Of the Trees, DJ Minx and More
Another week, another surge of energy from the global dance scene. In this edition of the Friday Dance Music Guide: Fresh Releases From Of the Trees, DJ Minx and More, we’re breaking down the biggest headlines and the hottest new tracks lighting up speakers right now.
A Big Week for Dance Music Headlines

Dance music continues to dominate cultural conversations.
First up, Avicii’s timeless country-EDM anthem Wake Me Up has officially surpassed three billion views on YouTube, joining an elite club of just 51 tracks to ever hit that milestone. More than a decade after its release, the song remains a defining moment for electronic crossover hits.
Meanwhile, Diplo opened up about collaborating with BTS on their comeback album Arirang, shedding light on the creative exchange between Western and K-pop production worlds.
On the industry side, SoundCloud released its latest Music Intelligence Report — and the numbers are clear: electronic music is thriving. According to the report, in 2020, about one in four tracks uploaded to the platform fell under an electronic genre. By 2025, that number has grown to more than one in three.
The hashtag #DJSET alone saw a 39% year-over-year spike in uploads last year. Electronic music has now claimed the title of fastest-growing genre in the U.S. on the platform for the third straight year. Dubstep, in particular, is experiencing a major resurgence, with artists like Levity and Tape B helping drive the momentum.
Elsewhere, Femme House announced the return of its Femmy Awards in Miami next month, honoring influential names such as Anja Schneider, Ultra Naté, TOKiMONSTA, and John Summit.
In more serious news, Deadmau5 addressed a deepfake video falsely showing him endorsing another artist’s music. At the same time, both Subtronics and John Summit publicly urged Casey Wasserman, CEO of Wasserman, to step down following the release of new documents concerning his association with Ghislaine Maxwell.
But now — let’s turn to the music.
Of the Trees – Moonglade Park

Colorado-based producer Of the Trees delivers one of the year’s most immersive dance albums with Moonglade Park.
The 10-track project is ambitious and cinematic, blending intricate IDM textures with hip-hop rhythms and the heavy low-end frequencies that have made him a standout in the live bass scene. Designed as a concept album set within a fictional national park, Moonglade Park builds a fully realized sonic world.
Collaborations with EARTHGANG, Player Dave and Elohim add emotional and stylistic depth, making the project feel expansive yet cohesive.
Born Tyler Coombs, Of the Trees describes the album as the most complete expression of his artistic journey so far — a project years in the making and brought to life with the help of a carefully assembled creative team.
DJ Minx – Energy EP

Detroit legend DJ Minx returns with her latest EP, Energy, a release that reinforces her reputation for delivering pure dancefloor heat.
The title track pulses with confident house grooves, while “Get Up” brings a slightly eerie, almost Twin Peaks-style atmosphere layered over driving beats. Both tracks arrive with fresh edits, giving DJs multiple ways to deploy them in sets.
The EP lands just ahead of her appearance at Sound Room at Public Records in New York and arrives via Rekids LTD — another notch in a consistently strong catalog from the Detroit mainstay.
Devault – “Zero”

Rising California producer Devault continues his upward trajectory with “Zero.”
Straddling the line between UK garage and glossy electro-pop, the track feels tailor-made for closing out a euphoric night. Sweet melodies float above club-ready production, capturing that final, hands-in-the-air moment when exhaustion meets bliss.
Released via Insomniac Records, “Zero” confirms Devault as a producer who understands both emotional resonance and peak-time precision.
Ahadadream, Skrillex & Raf Saperra – “Bass Dhol”

U.K.-based tastemaker Ahadadream joins forces with Skrillex and British Pakistani rapper Raf Saperra for the explosive single “Bass Dhol.”
The collaboration reportedly began in early 2023 during studio sessions in Miami. Early versions of the track circulated in DJ sets long before its official release, building anticipation among fans.
Blending Punjabi influences with bass-heavy club production, “Bass Dhol” is bold, rhythmic and built for global dancefloors.
Max Styler feat. Ad-Apt – “One More”

Tech house riser Max Styler drops another club weapon with “One More,” featuring Manchester MC Ad-Apt.
The track oozes attitude, pairing rolling basslines with bold vocals that celebrate staying on the dancefloor just a little longer. Released on Styler’s own Nu Moda label, it’s a confident statement from an artist quickly becoming a staple in tech house conversations.
