A powerful night of music and hope is on the horizon as Jelly Roll, the Jonas Brothers, and more artists set to perform at the Stand Up To Cancer fundraising special on Friday, August 15 at 8 p.m. ET. This marks the ninth biennial televised event for the organization, and for the first time ever, it will broadcast live from Nashville — a city known for both its heart and harmony.
Joining the lineup of performers are beloved names like CeCe Winans and Dan + Shay, alongside additional appearances from Noah Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, Marcus King, Brothers Osborne, and Jon Pardi. Together, these artists will lend their voices to raise critical funds and awareness for groundbreaking cancer research.
In addition to live performances, the special will feature prerecorded messages and segments from major stars including Kevin Bacon, Jamie Foxx, Tim McGraw, Zoe Saldaña, Keith Urban, and Reese Witherspoon. Country icon Sheryl Crow is set to host the event, while Stand Up To Cancer co-founder Katie Couric will offer remarks during the broadcast. Dolly Parton also contributed to the initiative by participating in a national awareness campaign ahead of the telecast.
The hour-long fundraising special will highlight inspiring stories from cancer survivors and showcase major scientific advances in early detection and treatment. It will air simultaneously across more than 30 media platforms in the United States — including all four major broadcast networks — with digital and streaming options also available, thanks to generous donated airtime.
The concert will take place at The Pinnacle in Nashville and is a collaborative production between Stand Up To Cancer and the award-winning production company Done + Dusted. The event’s executive producers include Done + Dusted’s David Jammy and Liz Kelly, Stand Up To Cancer co-founders Pamela Oas Williams and Lisa Paulsen, as well as Rod Essig (CAA), Kevin Yorn (Yorn Levine / BroadLight Capital), and Rick Yorn (LBI Entertainment / BroadLight Capital). James Merryman will direct the show, with acclaimed musician Derek Wells — a two-time Academy of Country Music guitar player of the year — serving as musical director.
In the lead-up to the event, Stand Up To Cancer has also launched the #StandUpToCancer campaign, running through August 31. This social initiative encourages creators on Twitch, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube to host fundraising streams in support of cancer research.
This year’s Jelly Roll, the Jonas Brothers, and more artists set to perform at the Stand Up To Cancer fundraising special promises to be a heartfelt, star-studded evening that unites the music community and the public in one shared mission: to stand together in the fight against cancer.
