Curry Hooks is a Texas singer-songwriter who does it all himself: he writes the lyrics, sings the vocals, plays the guitar, and builds the arrangements. His sound runs from indie rock to hip-hop, and every song comes from the same place: struggle, and refusing to stay down.
The music started in mid-2026 with nothing but a guitar and his voice, raw recordings posted to TikTok. His first voice recording pulled about 30,000 views, and that response led to a management and distribution deal with GE Music Group. “Broken Girl” is where that story becomes an official release.
His latest release, “Broken Girl“, is a raw, emotional single about pain, damage, and the strength it takes to keep going. It blends stripped-down guitar and vocals with a modern indie rock and hip-hop edge. It’s the first release from Curry Hooks, and the first chapter of a catalog built on honesty and resilience.
About the cover art:
Illustrated cover art, square format. A red-haired woman with tears streaming down her face looks down, her skin cracking like porcelain and breaking apart into shards of glass that drift into the sky. Behind her, a sun sets over a ruined skyline of power lines and crumbling buildings, reflected in a cracked, mirror-like lake under a crescent moon. Broken hearts float on either side. A glowing butterfly and a blooming red rose in the foreground point to hope and survival. The title “Broken Girl” is set in shattered pink glass lettering with a turquoise script “Girl.” The warm sunset tones against cool teal accents carry the song’s theme: broken, but still beautiful and still moving forward.
