There are photographers who take pictures at concerts. And then there’s LMTLSS IMAGE, who captures the moment right before someone cries and doesn’t even know why yet.
Based in the music world since 2016, LMTLSS IMAGE has built a reputation for shooting live performances and artists with a visual style that’s all her own. Darker tones, high contrast, black and white that cuts straight to the bone. She doesn’t shoot for the highlight reel. She shoots for the truth.
It all started by accident. One elective class in high school, a Canon T3i, and a darkroom. She was hooked before the semester was over. From developing film by hand to shooting arena shows and music videos, the trajectory has been anything but ordinary, and every step of it was earned. She bought her first camera on eBay. She reached out to local bands and venues and offered to shoot for free just to get in the room. She built her entire network one show at a time.
Her client list has grown to include Lakeview, Dropout Kings, Kamenar, SoftSpoken, Call Me Karizma, Jonny Craig, and more. But the names aren’t really the point. The point is what happens when the lights go down and she raises her camera. She listens to the artist before every show she hasn’t shot before. She reads the crowd. She decides on the fly whether to get close and capture a single raw expression or pull back and show the whole room singing together. Both can be the shot.
With more shows lined up through the end of the year, a new camera body on the way, and a growing presence in music video production, LMTLSS IMAGE is stepping into a new chapter. And if history is any indication, she’s going to document it beautifully.
