The Los Angeles producer is proving electronic music can move both the body and the conversation.

Some artists write songs for playlists.

Others create worlds.

Witch Cabin belongs firmly in the second category.

The Brooklyn-born creative, whose real name is Tracy Marcellino Aubert, has quietly been building a multidisciplinary career that bridges music production, design, visual storytelling, and immersive experiences. Now, with the arrival of “We Want Connection,” she is stepping into what feels like her defining artistic era.

The single, which serves as the title track from her upcoming project, arrives during a cultural moment where its message feels remarkably timely. While technology continues bringing people closer digitally, many listeners have never felt further apart emotionally.

Witch Cabin transforms that contradiction into dance music.

Driven by layered synth production, alternative electronic textures, and understated pop songwriting, “We Want Connection” avoids the predictable formulas dominating much of today’s electronic landscape. Instead, it leans into atmosphere, emotion, and intentional restraint, allowing the production to breathe while inviting listeners into its message rather than overwhelming them.

The song has already begun generating strong early momentum, positioning the forthcoming project as one to watch throughout the year.

The release follows Witch Cabin’s recent cover of Prince’s beloved “When You Were Mine,” a thoughtful reinterpretation that showcases both her respect for timeless songwriting and her confidence as a producer capable of reimagining familiar material through a distinctly modern lens.

Away from the studio, Aubert’s creative résumé is equally compelling.

As an experiential food designer, producer, writer, and musician, she approaches creativity through multiple disciplines, each informing the other. That broader artistic perspective is reflected throughout her music, where sound design often feels as carefully curated as architecture or visual art.

Her current studies at the Pete Tong DJ Academy signal another evolution as she continues developing her craft with ambitions that extend toward international touring, major festival appearances, and collaborations spanning music, fashion, and entertainment.

Those ambitions include performing at Iceland Airwaves and Sonar, festivals known for championing boundary-pushing artists whose work exists beyond conventional genre definitions.

For listeners discovering Witch Cabin for the first time, “We Want Connection” offers an ideal introduction.

It is electronic music with emotional intelligence.

Pop music with underground instincts.

And perhaps most importantly, it reminds audiences that connection remains one of the most powerful experiences music can offer.
